Beirut, Lebanon – An agreement for a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah held on Friday despite allegations made by each party against the other for breaking the agreement.
The 60-day ceasefire agreement brokered by the United States and France would now become effective from 4 am Wednesday after almost 14 months of cross-border attacks and just over two months after another of Israel’s escalations that caused significantly wide spread devastation on south Lebanon, the eastern Bekaa Valley, and the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital known as Dahiyeh.
